MAJOR Disappointment

Weak in almost every way. Lacking the charm and wit of the first two movies. The plot finds J going back in time to "unkill" K, who had his existence negated by some bozo that's less intimidating than most minor league professional wrestlers. Apparently adding some reverb and bass to the villains voice is enough to make us think he's a true villain. In the first 2 MIB movies this guy would have been dispatched within 2 minutes. And Jones, as Agent K is almost a mere cameo player....Brolin portrays K as a young man, and pretty much nails the character. The entire main plot would have served as an intriguing sub plot, but was too weak to hold a viewers interest.
Also noticeably absent were the usual abundance of background aliens, Tony Shalhoub as the pawn shop owner, and Rip Torn as Zed, who (apparently) has been written out of the franchise as dead.
The 3D effects are pretty good, but this is not the non stop thrill ride we have come to expect.
