The opening sequence felt like someone trying really hard to make a movie feel like Kubrick directed it. Graphically interesting, but incredibly dull. My wife and I could not care less about the characters. In fact, we both could not stand them, and as a result did not care that they all were going to die. This is a very dull, slow moving, and depressing film that never gets you to connect with the characters.
