If you're into the Quentin Tarantino-esque-violent-tounge-in-cheek-a-thons, then this is for you. If you can find the oft ignored hilarity in laughing at yourself whilst a movie pokes fun at a genre that itself is a comedic myth at best, then this is a movie for you. If you've ever watched an anime series and wished they cut out all the fillers, this is for you. If you for some strange reason think the RZA's first attempt at directing/screenplay and acting in the same movie is going to be a Godfather like masterpiece, please, do yourself a favor and saddle up on your pink unicorn with the athlete formerly known as Ron Artest and establish world peace because quite frankly, you're giving yourself a better shot at reality.
I had a great time with my girl watching this movie because it never pretends to be something it's not. If you're looking for a legendary kung-fu movie, MWTIF is not. If you want it to be Kill Bill pt 1, MWTIF is not(I mean it's the RZA directing). But please. Ask yourself. What part of any trailer made you think it would be?
