For the first hour I couldn't believe that a movie could actually be that bad. How could Hollywood let such a piece of #$%$ like this leave the studio!? I felt angry that I spent one cent on this god aweful movie. Seriously, I have seen some #$%$ movies …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

As one who did his master's thesis on Asian Cinema, and was alive during the first Kung fu movie boom in 1973, and as an action filmmaker, this film reminds me of my first forays in film making: Bad story, bad action, bad character development. Yes, …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

Before RZA, I thought the worst gung fu movie ever made was Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
But this is ultimately the worst.
How could RZA get his characters in a Kung Fu flick to fight like Marvel superheroes.
Set in Qing Dynasty, very …more»2 of 3 people found this review helpful-

I was so excited to see this movie because it said it was associated with Tarantino, so of course i'm hyped up and ready for a Kung-Fu masterpiece, but all I get is a master piece of #$%$. This move had terrible narration, plot focus, strange flashbacks …more»2 of 2 people found this review helpful-

I see what he tried to do with this film, but he should of never starred in it! These people who gave it good reviews don't know their martial arts movies at all. I have a lot of respect for the rest of the cast but ill never watch this movie ever …more»2 of 2 people found this review helpful-

No wonder the lead actor sucked so bad; turned out he was the terrible director. This "movie" was all over the place. It was impossible to get emotionally invested. I was hoping the city it took place in would just be nuked, so that the film could …more»2 of 2 people found this review helpful-

Feel sorry for Lucy, she was great. The main character RZA is such a dumb #$%$. Not even an ounce of acting skill. The editing is the worst I've seen. Feel like I was watching 10 yrs old learn how to make movie. A totally waste of time and money. This …more»2 of 2 people found this review helpful-

If you're into the Quentin Tarantino-esque-violent-tounge-in-cheek-a-thons, then this is for you. If you can find the oft ignored hilarity in laughing at yourself whilst a movie pokes fun at a genre that itself is a comedic myth at best, then this …more»2 of 3 people found this review helpful
