I saw no need for the makers to have been disrespectful to the Catholic church with their inappropriate scene of the Vatican City, one that ended up not even being funny after all. The ring the Pope wears does not imply riches, it seals and represents his union to the Lord; therefore there was no need for heresies. Parents strive to teach their children the importance of respect, of belief, and of the Lord but the media makes it impossible. Overall, even from a secular point of view, I did not think it was funny. The plot was unsubstantial and predictable.
