This movie is not "brilliant" it's well written but not easily followed. The hooker, even though she shows her breast is a useless character. The rainmaker character isn't clearly developed although you can see the destruction he could cause in the future. The running time is long. The setup is well done. Futuristic props are restricted to a cell phone, a library computer and printer and a hover craft that looks like it was built in a garage. The special effects are not all that special you've seen them before, they work to tell the story. The biggest question is, why didn't the Loopers just kill each others future self instead doing it themselves? It;'s a modern day knock off of the original Terminator with a twist of indecisiveness. In total I''d give this movie a c. Not bad but definitely not "brilliant".
