i love reading history books. and i would've loved this movie if i was reading a book. i also love my country and i admired how Mr. Lincoln put his life for the free equality of all men. and i was overcome with sadness by the civil war. one of many tragic parts of our history. i think daniel day lewis might win an Oscar for his performance of Lincoln.
with that said, i watch movies to escape from reality. however, this movie made me feel i was in a long meeting at work.
it was long....almost torturous. 2 hours and 30 mins of just talking or discussions. if you like war/action this is not the movie for you. i think this should be watched as a Dvd at home.
