Lincoln(2012)- User Reviews

Based on my education, I knew Lincoln was a great man. Daniel Day Lewis and Steven Spielberg, along with an amazing cast did a wonderful job capturing the turning events of Lincoln's time and his ultimate purpose. My only issue with the movie was one scene where I felt Lewis over acted. Lincoln was a devote Christian. In this scene, Daniel Day Lewis used the words... G_ _ Damn. Lincoln would have never said this and Lewis should have caught himself. However, how would Lewis know this if he was not a true Christian himself. Using the Lord's name in vain is one of the 10 Commandments... Even my children know this and no matter how passionate or angry they get, they would never drop God's name in anger . 99% of the movie was amazing and I thought I was watching Lincoln myself. I cried multiple times and feel that every young American should see this movie. If we only had a "Lincoln" today...
