Sorry. With this cast the movie should have been crackling and brilliant. Instead the movie is tedious and ponderous. Much too long, too. Steven Spielberg seems to be intimidated by Daniel Day-Lewis, allowing him complete freedom to drone and drawl on-and-on-and-on. I knew that we were in trouble at the outset when Lincold tries to explain why he needs the slaver abolition amendment, complicating a siimple concept. Afraid that many in the theatre missed the movie because they fell asleep. Didn't do much either to help the feelings of many that history is dull and boring.
