I kept wanting to leave but stuck it out hoping for something. Spielberg has lost it. I'd be interested in what the historians say about this one. Lincoln didn't care about ending slavery but needed the slaves to fight in the war to prevent the south from seceding. Not about slavery but used this as a tool to save the country. Spielberg's writers used a 1970 history book to write this script. Very disappointing.
