If Sally Fields doesn't win an Oscar for this, there is no justice in the world! Her best performance ever! I was moved to tears when they fought over whether to allow Robert to enlist. I was relieved to see that the movie didn't rehash parts of history that others have done before. This was the first time I fully understood the political battle that raged over the 13th amendment. I think it made me appreciate Lincoln's intelligence and resolve in a much deeper way.
