This movie was based on the last 5 months of lincoln life for one it wasnt meant to be a story of his life as a whole. And so what he had to sway ppl in his own party (republican) and in the democrats to get slavery abolished. Its how washington worked then its how washington works now. Ending slavery was right for the country as a whole to move foward just like obamacare is right for us now. Thats why this was a great movies cause it showed a country divided on a issue much like how the country is divided now on obamacare but just like ending slavery was right for the country then having affordable health care for the citizens of the richest country in the world is now. Great movie will buy the dvd!
