Lincoln(2012)- User Reviews

I went to see this on Black Friday after being up since the weee hours of the morning. The movie started off very slow and never really picked up the pace until closer to the end. I fell asleep during parts of it. I really don't know why it was called Lincoln. The acting was very good so that is why I gave it 2 stars but as for the movie itself I wish I had waited for it to come out on DVD.
Daniel Day Lewis portrayed Lincoln as a frail soft spoken man. He did get a little fired up a few times but not enough for me. Sally Field portrayal of Mary Todd Lincoln was wonderful. She filled those shoes very well. You could feel her angst and sorrow. I do wish they would have gone deeper into Lincolns personal life but they didn't. This movie was about the 13th Amendment NOT Abraham Lincoln...
