Just saw Lincoln, and it is long and sleepy. Spielberg is simply incapable of telling this great story. Yes, Day-Lewis is convincing. No, I didn't have a problem with his voice, but the movie was anything but riveting in telling a key story about one of history's most riveting characters EVER. Another Hollywood mogul blows the chance to properly tell the story of the greatest leader of the last 1000 years.
It would help to not have a big fat socialist useful idiot like Spielberg try to tell the story in the first place. Despite reviewer proclamations (see Rex Reed's laughable review), Lincoln was anything but a socialist, as those monsters did not even exist in his days, and had he heard their lunacy about "social justice" and "spreading the wealth" he would have rhetorically cut them to ribbons. He was a Constitutionalist first and only, and a people were freed from bondage because of his constitutional convictions. Our demonic socialists then spent the next 100+ years shredding Lincoln's ideas to pieces, and are now in the final stages of re-enslaving humankind. And Spielberg, living in his exotic glass houses around the world, and cavorting arm in arm with said demons, claims to want to tell the story of The Great Emancipator. Predictably, he fails with a thunderous, uninteresting DUD.
