The acting and costumes were great. It made you feel you were in that era. The actors had the manorisms and appearance down great. Many good actors played important roles and all were done well.

The story focuses on the 13th amendment. There is so much more to the story on what was happening at the time. I read the book "Team of Rivals" and there was so much more in the book. I was hoping for a lot more of the story.
