For those of you who did not read "team of rivals" or have no knowledge of Lincolns history or who his cabinet members were, you would have been better off not seeing this movie. You need to have some kind of a brain to understand this. There is NO WAY to fit all of Lincolns life into the time frame they had. But this movie REALLY showcased Daniel Day Lewis. I mean,,,, WOW, there are no words to desccribe his performance and I thought nothing could top GANGS OF NEW YORK when he played Bill the butcher. He deserves an oscar, no one else came close to the magnificent transformation Lewis did for this film.
