Lincoln(2012)- User Reviews

We always say Lincoln was the President who freed the slaves. Well, it's interesting to learn exactly how it came about. The movie does a good job of showing the issues and complexities. President Lincoln is depicted as a man weary of war, slavery, death, and a nation divided. He hoped the passage of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution (which ended slavery) would change all that. Spielberg does a good job of showing us how Lincoln must have felt at that point in history. I give this movie 5 stars and urge all Americans to go see it.
