Daniel Day Lewis should win AA for this.
I was afraid it was going to be …more»3 of 4 people found this review helpful-

I was truly brought to tears about a piece of legislation. These actors actually made me identify with the people that they played in the movie. Sally Field became "Mary Todd Lincoln" a person that I have read about for many years and whom …more»3 of 4 people found this review helpful-

We went to see a movie about Lincoln but saw a movie about how the 13th amendment was passed. It had very little insight into Lincoln's life. I think they threw in a few shots of Lincoln with his son & a couple of arguments with Mary Todd just to tie …more»5 of 6 people found this review helpful-

No disrespect , but the movie looked as if it was a movie written by a black for blacks, very discreminating to rest of us folks....left after 45 minutes.... Acdting was extremely amateurish..
Seemed historically inaccurate, lots of poetic license was …more»1 of 13 people found this review helpful-

The Movie was beyond excellent and captured the characters well. It was well done in terms of historical facts and events leading up to the end of the war. I loved the PA Senator and how he stood up to the Senator of Ohio...and some of the others. …more»2 of 4 people found this review helpful
