This was an amazing movie that leaves you appreciative of the man Abraham Lincoln. A tortured soul about so many things, the war, loss of a child and trying to do something that was not only unpopular but a threat to his very life. This film had some …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

This is a movie historians and civil war buffs will love. It's long and at times tedious but much of the back room bargaining relates to today's politics. Danial Day Lewis is remarkable as Lincoln. Sally Fields is badly miscast as Mary Todd Lincoln. …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

that should have been the title. Or how politicians passed the 13th Amendment to abolish slavery. I thought there would be a flashback in this film. The scene with Sally Field and Daniel day Lewis discussing thier family problems was the best. It is a …more»0 of 1 people found this review helpful
