Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, Hal Holbrook are excellent in this film. Excellent movie about the execution and inside workings of getting the 13th Amendment passed. This movie will make you use you brain a bit and pay attention. Was worth seeing for sure. I do not give out 5 stars easily and they have not made to many "Lawrence of Arabia" type movies in the past few decades. My 4 stars tells you that this movie is worth sitting for 2 and 1/2 hours. If you are bored, then it is because you do not appreciate good acting and a subject that is very important to us all.
