"Limitless" is a entertaining film but flawed. What if someone invented an IQ-enhancing pill? You take it and become very rich, very enticing to the opposite sex, and a superman. You remember everything and make a bundle in Wall Street. You are pursued by a Russian mafia loanshark who learns your secret and extorts pills from you. A Wall Street billionaire (played by Robert DeNiro) wants your knowledge, at the price of your freedom. However, without the pill, your brain becomes duller than ever.
Big logical flaw--why doesn't the Wall Street super-tycoon Van Loon (De Niro) cut out the genius middleman and take the pills himself to become supersmart? He has the formula and all the money in the world to make a safe version of the pill, so the ending of the film fails because of this big logical flaw.
Still, fairly entertaining but could have been much better.
