I will admit that "Life of Pi" is visually beautiful, well written and thought provoking. BUT... the movie trailer"..and adventure to the new world of America" makes it look like a movie for children as if this would be a "feel good" story about a boy finding his way and respect for nature (my son even asked if the tiger was going to talk). Even at age 10, this movie was too graphic and too adult. Yes the depiction of the tiger's behavior was realistic (thankful he didn't talk), but nevermind **SPOLIER** the death of both of his parents and the brutal description at the end of the cook murdering (and eating) a solider and Pi's mother was just too much. PLEASE don't hide the true nature of a movie to "save" reveal of the plot as most of us were given the wrong impression. Hopefully the cost of psychotherapy for my son won't have to be added to the movie ticket. Bravo Ang Lee for this and all your past work, but not for kids in my opinion.
