Life of Pi(2012)- User Reviews

I went into this movie with high expectations and was not disappointed. I give it 4/5 stars, not that anything was bad but I generally think it was a bit too long. The scenery and the animal action was really wonderful, the tiger was amazing. It's a different sort of feeling, not seeing the familiar action heroes on the screen. I liked the bits of Noah's Ark and Poseidon Adventure feel, and from my perspective the spiritual Christian moments were uplifting, with Pi's insights on God watching over him all the time. I had not read the book before seeing the movie. The overall story of survival at sea was incredible, as well as the scenery and marine life. Very enjoyable, and can be a tearjerker for some. People clapped in my theatre.
