The movie was well done and pulls you into the story and the world of the young boy Pi. However there are some very intense scenes especially for small children. My 9- year old daughter cried in fear during one of the scenes and was very uncomfortable through much of the movie so be careful of the PG rating. My 12-year old son on the other hand, who prefers the action-packed films was a bit bored during some of the movie.
