I always love a great animal, adventure movie and this looked like it would be right up my alley. However, once the credits started rolling up I realized I had been watching something much more than a simple boy and his tiger against the world story.
There are plenty of feathered friends, monkeys, sea-creatures and other assorted critters to keep the little ones involved. But underneath all those untamed beasts lies a young boy on the spiritual voyage of his life. At times, Pi's struggles seem as turbulent as the storm he braves. But like all storms...they will pass and leave us looking at the world around us with a clearer perspective.
It's a feel good movie. Go and enjoy.
