First, I love wild life and am grateful for any movie that showcases these beautiful animals, like the endangered Bengal Tigers. Second, it is an adventure of danger and wonder that makes the watcher think how they would handle the situation.

Unfortunately while most people understand that Life of Pi is a movie about God. (They say so in the movie.) What many miss is that the story is full of allegory describing Vedanta theology. One example; Richard Parker is Pi's own animalistic nature. …more»1 of 6 people found this review helpful-

My family thoroughly enjoyed the movie, no hobbits, cartoons, etc, just a complicated or simple story which allows one to philosophize one s own beliefs about survival, relationships
