First Off I get Amanda Seyfreid I get Geoffrey Rush even though through watching it i came to understand that they must have payed him alot to act in this. I'm not sure what the negative reviewers saw, but I saw a great movie. It's a musical so keep that in mind when if you plan to see it.

I saw this musical several times on broadway, it was one of my favorite musicals of all time, the music was beautiful. the movie was a tale of suffering and visually disturbing scenery. Yeah, there will be people who compare it to whatever, but it was a beyond superb film A little long, but Jackman totally stole the show, as did Amana and Anne. This film is amazing from start to finish. Moving, well acted, singing is in above par for what they have to do while singing I have seen the play 3 times once in NY and twice in LA and putting it on the big screen made it that much more powerful.
