Typically, romantic comedies have that cliche ending where all seems to end perfectly, but this movie kind of reminds me of the movie "As good as it gets" in that it deals with the reality of the difficulty in dating once you get older and realize how truly fallible you are. This is, however, a great story, with a melancholic script, and two great actors in Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson. I came away from the movie thinking this is who they (the actors) really are...Great story for grown ups.
