Keep in mind this was a movie for entertainment, if you want to know the complete facts about the crusades read a book, take a class in college, or watch PBS. This was a very good entertaining movie. Bloom and Nieson make a great father son duo. Nieson makes a great knight and was a perfect choice to be the "Obi Wan" for this movie and the history only does the movie another step to fame and glory.more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

This movie is much more better than Gladiator. But not alot of people know about this film. I think Orlando Bloom did a much better acting job and is more mature than in "Lords of the Rings"

A) Saladin was not an "Arab". He was an Aryan, since he was of Kurdish Muslim origin.

In order to keep my interest throughout the whole movie, there needed to be more action, i.e. battle scenes.
