King Arthur(2004)- User Reviews

I've read most of the reviews, and I will admit that when I first saw this movie, I had expected something a little different. I mean, we've all heard the tale of Arthur and his Knights, in some way or another. I for one love this version, because it made the characters seem real to me. In all the other stories, they're all so perfect...you either have someone totally good, or wickedly evil. Here you have people who, like us, have problems they have to face. They're not spotless like the knights in the old stories were. And another thing...I had always found it dificult to like Lancelot's character in the old stories...I mean, he's taking someone's wife, and he seems to have no guilt. In this version of King Arthur, I could admire the character somewhat. I also enjoyed being able to here see the knights and be able to say, "Hey, that's Tristan from the stories..." Even though it was a completely different story line, you still had the same familiar characters. I don't know, maybe I'm just weird or odd, but I loved this movie, and I'd watch it a hundred times over and never tire of it.
