Judge Dredd(1995)- User Reviews

Judge Dredd is a cookie cutter comic book turned into a lame action film starring a bugged eyed Slyvester Stallone as a futuristic cop/jury/judge who sentences criminals as the judicial system has been replaced. Stallone is framed for a murder he did dot commit(of course.)and to prove his innocense, he's aided by the ever annoying John Schneider-who plays it like nails in the chalkboard. As bad as this dynamic duo is the worse is saved for the holes in the plot storyline and the by the numbers direction.
Armand Assante, a good actor with a skecthy resume-plays the baddie and he hams it up to an extreme. It's the women in this movie Diane Lane and Joan Chen(horribly miscast)who are talented but would like to see them in a much better movie. Stallone had really awful 90's films
(Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot!)and a very good one(Copland)this falls somewhere in the lower category.
