Synopsis

Thirty years ago, it was deemed impossible that a green party would ever be able to join the German Bundestag. However, after spending years as left-wing radical who threw stones at policemen during demonstrations, German politician Joschka Fischer became the minister of foreign affairs. Using Fischer as a guide, this film explores six decades of post-war history in Germany, from the picket-fenced lies of the Sixties and the left-wing terrorist group RAF, and demonstrations against nuclear energy to the fall of the wall and the first red-green government.
