Because of a near-death experience of his own, jHex can bring the dead back to a form of life just by touching them.

Now keep in mind that jHex is hell-bent on revenge against Quentin Turnbull for killing his family which btw Turnbull was did in vengeance for jHex killing Turnbull"s son.

From the beginning we're told that jHex becomes a bounty hunter because Turnbull died in a hotel fire, ergo, no revenge for Hex.

But...

1) Since jHex could talk to the dead, and the dead could see everything that went on--- why oh why didn't jHex verify the second hand news of Turnbulls end by asking at least one dead person?

2) What about Turnbull's crew? Did jHex conveniently forget that the guys who actually set his family on fire were still around? Once again, all he had to do was ask the dead...
