It would probably be a good idea for Ms. Rivers to have (just one!) friend....the kind you have a cup of coffee with or call on the 'phone. Living in all that splendor doesn't seem to "do it" for this very talented lady.more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

A surprisingly compelling film. It gives you a lot of insight into Joan Rivers specifically, but without bashing the point over your head this is clearly a portrait of what it takes to get to the top in comedy and in any competitive field. She's …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

I adore and admire Joan Rivers. You can not deny her talent, her tenacity and her fearlessness. Knowing that the filmmakers followed her around for a year and a half, I wondered what wound up on the cutting room floor. I would have liked more of the business …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

This movie is best as a case study for a compulsive personality. Joan modifies her view of the world to justify her internal drives - viewing herself as needing money, needing work, and justified in the way she treats and views others. The very definition …more»0 of 1 people found this review helpful
