Jarhead gives us an unflinching look at a newly recruited Marine(Jake Gyllenhaal)who has just been called for duty in the 1990 Persian Gulf War.
This film also features Jamie Foxx as a Marine CO & is well-directed by Sam Mendes. To me, this film takes us inside what those soldiers were going through in that war & despite criticism that this plays more like Top Gun (1986) & less like We Were Soldiers (2002), it's still a movie expierence worth partaking.
