I find myself always smiling when I think of Jane Eyre now. I have never read the book nor seen one movie about it until now. However, I fell the moment I hit play. The surroundings, the wardrobe, the acting all took me back to a time I had never known. A young girl uncertain of her life, looking for adventure and perhaps love, which she finds in a man her senior who has a dark secret he can't bear to pat with because he has love inside of him. A heartwrenching story at the least. Mr. Fassbender as Rochester was superb! I felt his every word even when he said profusely that he loved her, not in an outright way as we expect these days, but in language that feigns the mind. He was intense, cold and seductive. Mia W. was also superb in her role as well as Jamie Bell. I've only seen it twice, but it will be in constant rotation as one of my new fave love stories.
