I find myself always smiling when I think of Jane Eyre now. I have never read the book nor seen one movie about it until now. However, I fell the moment I hit play. The surroundings, the wardrobe, the acting all took me back to a time I had never known. …more»

Loved the 1997 version with William Hurt. Did not love this version at all. It's an amazing story, and I understand they had to cut the movie version down, but I was not impressed with what the director did with this. I was especially diappointed …more»

Certainly respectable, but hardly a stirring rendition of Jane Eyre. It has been many years since I read the book (but I read it many times in my teens). The dialogue between Jane and Rochester when they are sitting in front of the fire captures the …more»
