Jackass: The Movie(2002)- User Reviews

This movie was at times hilarious, disgusting and downright stupid in its stuntwork and overall idiocy. Their was obviously no plot or anything in particular to follow throughout the film, the filmmakers basically just wanted us to go on with the ride. And the ride is exactly what the director set it out to be....meaningless and at the same time outrageous. At times, i felt myself cheering for those poor fools who are meaninglessly dancing around at the back of a moving truck. And at other times i just felt that what these guys were doing, were just plain dumb. For example, the scene where Steve-O is snorting wasobi....honestly there is no thought behind that gag...it's just plain immature. And it kinda saddened me to see these grown dudes doing such childish things that you could probably find on the internet.

The movie however, did keep a very fluent pace, in which it does guarantee consistent doses of entertainment and some definate laughs. I praise this film, due to the sole reason that no other film had attempted to follow this kind of aspect, of a bunch of dudes fooling around, and in part endangering themselves and their idiot buddies. So yes, this film will appeal to audiences out there, who are fans of the 'Jackass' T.V. program on MTV, and basically people who are interested in seeking a cheap but praisingly effective laugh.
