I liked this movie and so did my 10 year old. The movie had just enough suspense to have us on edge but we enjoyed it nonetheless. I'd watch it again especially for the surviving commander's hair, loved it! I thought the king should have apologized …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

This movie isn't playing at too many theaters around my area, which is a shame because it is excellent. CGI animation is blended well with live actors. The sets are nothing less than spectacular. Storyline is well written and developed.

I must admit, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. It was very entertaining. Special Effects were excellent, story line flowed, acting was excellent.
I was thinking I'd get a dim witted child's "C" movie but was pleasantly …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

I really think that it was really cute in the way it starts out and the way it finishes with the story of the past. When it is Jack is a kid being told the story and Jack is telling his kids the story. ( but adding a few parts :) ) It also has a lot …more»0 of 1 people found this review helpful-

We absolutely loved this film! We saw Oz last week & it doesn't have a patch on Jack the giant slayer! Looking forward to owning it on DVD. It is loud, gripping, has a wee bit of romance & tongue in cheek humour - Fee Fi Fo & Fum are actual individual …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

In this age of CGA, this was masterfully done. They tried to promote as a kiddie fairy tale flick with the very simplistic story line which actually spelled its doom at the box office. Don't think you want to bring your kids to see savage giants.Maybe …more»2 of 2 people found this review helpful-

Some crooks are laughing their way to the bank. Anyone who thinks this is a good movie doesn't know the difference between a good movie and bad movie. It looks like a Low Budget film, the CGI scenes don't even look realistic and looks like someone …more»1 of 3 people found this review helpful-

If you have a pre-teen they would probably enjoy this movie. If you are a Sheldon or Leonard you might enjoy this movie. If you are neither, either wait until the movie comes out on cable or go to a matinee - it was NOT worth $8/ticket in my opinion. …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful
