No, Tom Cruise is not 6'5'' and 250lbs like Jack Reacher is portrayed in the Lee Child series. He does however show his cunning wit and inginuity in the movie. He plays the part well, period.
I have read a couple of the books and I am excited to get started on my 3rd in the series, Tripwire. Jack Reacher is supposedly a huge, overwhelming man with amazing military fighting skills and smarts. Lee Child himself said that they were not going to get every part of Jack Reacher in an actor, but they could get most of him. They lost out on size with Cruise, but got everything else.
This is why I am giving the movie a high rating, becase I loved the movie, and though Cruise did a great job. I felt like I was watching the reacher from the books. So go out and see it, you will not be dissapointed.
