To be honest, I never heard of any of these books before seeing the movie, but I am guessing they are good given the loyal following. So, I saw the movie without any hint of what I should be expecting and I really enjoyed it. Loved Cruise as usual and the production quality was acceptable. A good night out. I have noticed tha the majority of the people who did not like the movie are comparing it to the books.
