No, Tom Cruise is not 6'5'' and 250lbs like Jack Reacher is portrayed in the Lee Child series. He does however show his cunning wit and inginuity in the movie. He plays the part well, period.

They did a good job with the book adaptation.
Tom Cruise did a good job playing Jack. It was apparent much of the theater enjoyed Jack Reacher's wit. I hope this movie does well enough so they make more Jack Reacher movies.
