I forgot that Eastwood directed this until I saw the credit at the end, because I was thinking during the movie that whoever made this movie really messed it up. The choppiness of sequencing made it really hard to follow. If I wasn't familiar with the Hoover and the FBI, I would have been lost. The casting, I thought, was BAD. RFK and Nixon, to name two, wouldn't have been identifiable if not for nametags or obvious environmental placement. IMO, Philip Seymour Hoffman would have been much better for the title role, as he is the body type and face type and is an excellent actor. This is the first Clint Eastwood film that I have not liked, and I think he seriously missed the mark on this one!
