I cannot believe no one has written a review
of this film. This is a very good film with Clint
Eastwood's direction of going from the past to the present during Hoover's lifetime.
Leonardo DiCaprio's performance is terrific and he deserves …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Leonardo Dicaprio was excellent as J Edgar. Costumes and makeup superb. Screenwriting was very enlightening. Supporting cast wonderful. Wish the opening had been a different weekend than Twilight. See this movie.more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Leonardo does a fantastic job as the lead...and is supported by a fine cast. The period-specific imagery is also fantastic. The movie is good, but could have been a half hour shorter. J. Edgar Hoover was one strange dude!more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

J. Edgar is an excellent presentation on Hoover's life. It is not a fun topic and it is difficult to work up much of anything for Hoover except dislike. The acting and direction are first class. Eastwood has done a great job of peeling off the …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

More expensive than Nyquil but more efficacious. Entire F row fell asleep. Especially slow in beginning; where sleep ensued. J. Edgar was a cruel and pathetic figure, well played at times by LD-C. But the screenplay was so lackluster that any talent …more»0 of 1 people found this review helpful-

Just saw the movie and i was blown away! Tremendous acting by Leo and the rest of the cast. The story was very interesting and along with the nostalgic scenes of yesteryear. It wasn't bothersome at all for the director to weave back & forth from one …more»0 of 1 people found this review helpful
