Invictus(2009)- User Reviews

I can't really understand what made Clint Eastwood make this film. I'll give the acting a B because Morgan Freeman was pretty good as Mandela, but the rest of the movie didn't do much for me. The trouble is, that outside of its diehard fans, rugby is a boring,incomprehensible sport and to build a suspenseful film around it is just impossible. Also, like it or not, it's a white sport and very few black people have any interest in it, so winning this World Cup wouldn't really have had that much impact within the country.
