I used to think that Gosford Park was the most boring movie I had ever paid money to see at a theater! If I had paid for this one (I borrowed it from our local library) I would have been just as ticked off as I was walking out after Gosford Park. Some acting was decent (Wilkinson, Tomei) but it's hard to tell when the only facial expressions are sad ones. The directing caused the length to be an hour longer than it needed (conversations don't need to be filled with looooong pauses distracted by nature scenes and fishing wharf flashbacks). I only watched this because I am a big Tomei fan. At least she didn't disappoint me.
