Synopsis

The true story behind Ernest Hemingway's classic World War I novel "A Farewell to Arms" explores the romance that develops after an 18 year-old Hemingway is nursed back to health by Red Cross nurse Agnes Von Kurowsky following an injury on the battlefield. Partially based on Kurowsky's diaries, the summer of 1918 becomes a time that forever changes both of their lives.
