Years ago I saw THE SEA INSIDE with Javier Bardem, and that was simply fantastic. Now comes THE IMPOSSIBLE, with stunning visual effects and a story line that really underlines the strength of the human spirit.
With some shots that left me unconvinced (taken the powerful devastating waves and trucks carrying corpses, riding on dry land), the movie still deserves 5 stars.
Regarding the actors, I see no problem having Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor taking the main roles. If the actors were Spaniards, the movie would haven't been in English, but in Spanish.
