Just letting some of the cast grow beards would have made this movie better. The gods look like little babies. The only person allowed to look like a man in this movie is Mickey Rourke and he is the villain. The armor is quite obviously all about fashion not function and it cheapens the whole thing immensely. The sets are cheap and flimsy and it is obvious. The torture bull looks like it is made out of aluminum foil and they didn't even add soot for realism. I almost laughed when he broke to bow from that sorry fiberglass excuse for a rock formation. It somehow manages to have the violence on the surface and dumb down the realism at the same time. Conan the Barbarian captured it with the human soup, the Beastmaster definitely did so, this movie tries to do it safely, make it seem not so bad, which I don't appreciate. It appears to be designed for the Twilight crowd. It has good fighting in the style of 300 which is about the only bright spot that I could see.
