Another bungled animation with some entertainment value. This seems to be quite a common problem where they cannot interweave a children's tale with some adult themes and integrate stuff seamlessly so each age group takes away something cool. The moral of this story was "everyone is evil--you have to choose not to be." How they deliver that tale, though, is rather stupid. They begin with Igor as the disabused "assistant" who is much smarter than his scientis "boss," but due to his caste, he would never be accepted as a scientist himself. That situation is rather adult. They do some really weird stuff to changing castes and freedom, but it really doesn't hold together. I genuinely liked the characters, but the plot just didn't gel. The character design was interesting and different. They have a frankenwoman who is freakishly large and asymmetrical, but somehow she carries it off--so there's something to be said for that. There's sort of a comic releif rabbit who is immortal. It is sad, but funny, then sad. This is a maybe rent. It could have been much better had the plot and storyline been better integrated. They had the makings of some really cool points with a shape-shifting lady, a horrible "king," and the whole core of "we must all be evil..." hehehe. The "reason for the season" was really dumb, so the story gets off to a rocky start from the beginning.
